First Responder Schemes
First Responders fill the gap between basic first aid and health care professionals such as EMTs and paramedics and fulfill a vital role in emergency care across the globe.
First Responders provide the essential link in the chain of survival, delivering effective medical care during the platinum 10 minutes whilst awaiting professional assistance or are able to bring extended care beyond that of first aid, such as oxygen administration, defibrillation and spinal immobilization etc.
Specialist Operational Support are actively involved with First Responder Schemes around the world and recognize the importance of having well trained First Responders with clinical experience in every team, whether it be at an industrial (oil and gas) site, within a fire & rescue, close protection or police tactical team. Equally important are community First Responders, whom are often able to meet national targets and provide vital emergency care when most needed.
Specialist Operational Support are able to draw on years of global experience within the oil and gas industry, security industry, National Health Services, British and US Military and Diplomatic Services.
We understand your needs and are able to design and tailor First Responder courses not only for your sector but specific to your company or site following a risk assessment and training needs analysis.

We offer internationally recognized and approved courses tailored for hazardous environments and are able to offer the following qualifications:
- AREMT – First Responder (Based on the US DOT syllabus)
- IHCD – First Person on Scene
We understand sometimes quality training still isn’t enough and experience is what can make the difference. Through our clinical partners and affiliations to international first responder schemes, we are able to offer clinical (ambulance) attachments for all of our delegates to operate with their scope and practice.
Real world ‘hands on’ experience ensures confidence, competence and an enhanced life saving capability.
